VariCAD 2023 – Computer-aided design (CAD) system, or in English CAD, mainly intended for engineering design. In addition to powerful 3D modeling and 2D drawing tools, VariCAD contains libraries of standard mechanical parts (ANSI, DIN) and all the calculations necessary for them. Although you can conveniently transform solids or their parts, you can optionally specify a geometry reference. Once defined, this reference allows you to “insert” an object at a specified position. More precisely, you can remove the degree of freedom of an object by binding the contract. If other objects are changed or transformed, the object will certainly automatically change its position. For example, if you constrain a groove at the end of a shaft and the length of the shaft changes, the groove still keeps a constant distance from the end edge. References can be defined between solid elements in a solid or in a 2D configuration and create solid objects

VariCAD also provides tools to support assembly. If a link between a part and an assembly is defined, any changes made to the part file will be reflected in the assembly file, and vice versa. Copy reference solids can also be defined (so-called solid identical). In such cases, editing an object will update all identical copies. A solid group can also be defined, so that selecting and changing the visibility is simple for several objects.
