In 2013, Adobe InDesign CC was released, optimized for 64-bit operating systems and for working with the Creative Cloud cloud storage. Starting with version CC 2015, users have access to the Adobe Stock content store, and the Mercury Performance System mechanism (the same as in Illustrator) is used to accelerate the graphic engine.

In the latest versions, it became possible to place images in table cells, export documents to epub and pdf formats, and an interactive publication system. The shared library was also improved – it became possible to add text attributes, styles, and color groups to it.
